I joined organisations like The Marketing Society and The Marketing Academy really to learn, but I realised that the best opportunity to learn is to put yourself out there and give back.
You have fun along the way, you learn. But by giving back, you get more out, so find the organisation that will work for you. Think about how you want to grow and go and make some friends.

Now, Alison is a Board Trustee at AbilityNet and Non-Executive Director at The Marketing Society.
