So when you think about growing your career, firstly as marketeers, we are perfectly positioned because we tell brand stories. If you were to think about yourself as a brand what would your Brand Story be.
The second thing, is to think about what it feels like. We get so caught up with chasing job titles and the material benefits that come with a certain role in your career, but we don't always stop to think about what we want our careers to feel like and what we want our day-to-day lives to feel like. I think if you focus on what it feels like, it helps you align with your values and it helps you pick organisations and roles that fit you, your personality and your lifestyle and the things that are truly important to you, rather than simply chasing the next job title for the sake of chasing the job title.
Celia is an accomplished senior marketing leader with a career spanning over 25 years. In that time she has built her marketing career from Assistant Brands Manager at Unilever to Chief Customer and Digital Officer at Causual Dining Group. Now, she is a Non-Executive Director at several businesses and has founded her own companies, Impact Ventures Group and The Digital Advisor.
