I’m excited to partner with one of the most attractive employers in the news and media space, a globally recognised digital news publisher, as they look for a Senior Manager – Commercial Data & Trading to drive growth and optimise reader revenue streams.

✔ You enjoy working across multiple business functions to optimise subscription models, customer retention, and revenue forecasting.
✔ You’re excited by the fast-paced nature of digital media, where adaptability and problem-solving are key to success.
What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
✔ Proven experience in a commercial/trading management role, ideally within subscription-based, media, or consumer-focused businesses.
✔ Strong forecasting and business case modeling experience, with a track record of driving revenue growth.
✔ Expertise in pricing strategies, segmentation, A/B testing, and channel management.
✔ Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and stakeholder communication.
✔ Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present insights to C-suite and senior leadership teams.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience in SQL, BI tools (Tableau, Looker),
- Team management experience
Here’s what your role will entail:
✔ Deliver accurate forecasts to support financial and strategic planning.
✔ Own and manage acquisition, churn, and net growth performance across the reader revenue portfolio.
✔ Analyse customer segments and develop strategies to optimize lifetime value and subscription growth.
✔ Lead trading performance meetings, ensuring data-driven insights are at the core of decision-making.
✔ Identify new commercial opportunities and collaborate with Data, Marketing, Product, Editorial, and Finance teams.
✔ Potentially manage a small team, fostering a high-performance culture.
