Our chosen charity partner, Beam, is an organisation helping homeless people and refugees find their feet in society. During our partnership so far, we’ve helped to change the lives of almost 750 people, supporting over 380 individuals into work and nearly 290 people into housing.
This month, our support has made a meaningful impact on the lives of Aryan, Alhaji, and Jasper as they move one step closer to the life they desire to live. Read their full stories below...
Life has been really tough, Aryan found himself without a home, worrying endlessly about his daughter and mum. Now that they have secure housing again, a stable job has always been important to him to be able to provide for his family. After previously working as a Data Manager and Analyst in his home country, adjusting to the job role requirements here in the UK has presented some challenges. He has always liked numbers and data and so he is determined to secure a job role as a Data Analyst.
Seeing his family happy means everything to Aryan. In two years, he hopes to have a decent job that allows him to care for them and provide a comfortable life. With a good income, he can be a good father and son, buy a car, and eventually, get them a home of their own.
Aryan strongly believes in helping others, and here in the UK, he's witnessed a community spirit unlike anywhere else. People genuinely care, and that inspires him. He wants to be a part of that, giving back and creating a better future together.

Alhaji has been working in different premises manager roles through agencies for the past couple of years and is hoping to find a permanent job to give him and his family more stability. He has two sons, aged 10 and 7, and wants to be able to provide them with a stable home. Hopefully, a job with a stable income will allow him to achieve this goal. Spending time with his children is so important to him and he loves playing football with his boys in any spare time that he gets.
Alhaji knows that he will be a good premises manager as he has the skill set, the knowledge and the experience which he has gained from working in many different industries over the years. He also thinks he has strong leadership skills which will make him successful in the role. In the long term he would like to become a fully qualified plumber, having completed a course in plumbing.

Jasper is aiming for a stable life with a steady job – something he's been missing after being out of work for a while. He's got experience in a similar industry, and now, he's just looking to get back into the swing of things. It's not just about the job, it's about getting his life back on track and finding satisfaction in his work.
Enjoying good food and staying healthy keeps him going – simple things that make a big difference. Knowing that there are people willing to support him in a time when resources are tight is truly encouraging. Your support means a lot.
