Hi, I'm Celia, I'm a Non-exec Director on four boards. I also run my own digital advisory practice and I'm the Co-founder of a an angel syndicate called Impact Ventures Group.
Impact Ventures Group came to being really very serendipitously. Only 3% of the capital that gets raised today goes to women funded businesses and there are proven facts that show that women founded businesses return 78 cents to the dollar versus male funded businesses of 38 cents to the dollar. So, you've got a huge huge disparity there and when you look on the investing side women don't tend to invest and as women growing up, nobody talks to us about investing. Nobody talks to us about this thing called investing.
As an angel, so what we are trying to do is to close that gap between women who need capital and Angels who have Capital to invest in those businesses.
Celia is an accomplished senior marketing leader with a career spanning over 25 years. In that time she has built her marketing career from Assistant Brands Manager at Unilever to Chief Customer and Digital Officer at Causual Dining Group. Now, she is a Non-Executive Director at several businesses and has founded her own companies, Impact Ventures Group and The Digital Advisor.
