Together for Girls success story
Founded in 2009, Together for Girls is a global public-private partnership dedicated to ending violence against children, particularly sexual violence against girls. In partnership with governments, civil society and the private sector, Together for Girls calls attention to the issue of violence against children and mobilises support to prevent and respond to violence.
Our work with Together for Girls
We first started working with Together for Girls in 2024. They needed the support of a specialist communications recruitment agency to find a Media Officer for a fixed-term contract.
Finding the right contractor for the charity
The charity was looking for a Media Officer to join them on a short-term contract for a new project they were working on. Specialist not-for-profit and charity recruiter, Abigail Wager, took the brief. Abigail was best positioned to leverage her network of comms professionals and find the right talent in a short timeframe.
Due to the short contract, it was important that the Media Officer had the right knowledge and skills to come in and support the charity straight away. As a result, Abigail was searching for candidates with specific system knowledge.
Working closely with the Director of Communications in an organised and structured process allowed Abigail to source an excellent shortlist of candidates. The hiring manager had a great choice of talent and hired an excellent Media Officer who was a great addition to the charity comms team.
