We started working with SBFM in 2023 when they urgently needed the support of a specialist bid recruitment agency. It was crucial that they hired a new Bid Manager quickly into their team, so they chose to work with our recruitment consultants on the search.
Urgent requirement for a Bid Manager role
The business urgently required a new Bid Manager to replace headcount in the team. As the person was leaving the team shortly, it was crucial that they hired quickly to ensure a smooth transition.

The recruitment process
SBFM were looking for a Bid Manager who would be able to travel into their office based in Leeds 5-days a week. This is a tricky requirement to manage, with many candidates looking for more flexibility in their roles. Plus, due to the time constraints, they needed someone with just one-month notice period.
Both requirements limited the talent pool for this search, but Hayley was able to leverage her deep network of Bid Managers to identify an excellent candidate for the role. She was also able to negotiate a contract that both parties were happy to accept, agreeing on 4-days a week in the office.
After several weeks of searching by other means, we engaged with 3Search, who quickly helped to find a suitable candidate for a Bid Manager role. We subsequently offered the role, which was accepted.
