This is an opportunity to join a leading international property consultancy, providing services across all property sectors. It has an extensive network of offices and associates throughout the UK, mainland Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific and Africa. Listed on the London Stock Exchange and employing over 30,000 staff worldwide in more than 700 offices, Savills has extensive expertise in global property markets.

An excellent opportunity exists for a business development specialist to join the highly regarded real estate firm. The position is based in London (West End) and reports into the Bids Manager Europe and the Head of UK and European Bids. In the context of the European Business growth, they are reinforcing the team and the main objective of the role is to assist with implementing and driving the European bids and pitches programme across the region (11 Countries) in which they have a wholly-owned presence, in order to promote a joined-up approach to business and client development and to increase bid win rates. The environment is fast-paced, innovative, varied, high pressured, exciting and rewarding.

Key responsibilities will include:
•   Assisting the Bids Manager Europe in working with the European countries to implement and expand upon an effective Bids and Pitches strategy in line with the growth strategy for the European business and helping drive a joined-up approach to pitching across the many European countries.
•   Supporting pitch teams in best practice Bids and Pitch planning and execution as outlined in the clients UK approach to pitching and by incorporating the candidate’s own experience.
•   Provide cradle to grave bid support for European teams.
•   Feeding into the CRM system across the European business.

Candidate Profile:
•   Experience in business development and engaging with senior stakeholders is essential.
•   Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal stakeholders and external clients.
•   Ability to write clearly and concisely
•   High attention to detail – the applicant must be a good proofreader and have an eye for design and layout
•   High proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
•   Highly organised, self-motivated and reliable.
•   Can-do attitude with the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team, as required.
•   Uses initiative and the ability to learn independently.
•   European languages are a bonus but not essential.
