This is an exciting opportunity to join a global law firm, with a clear scope for progression from day one. This is a big opportunity for someone looking to excel their bids career in a professional services environment.

The purpose of this role is to support the Client Development Advisor (Insurance Division) and specific partners and lawyers working in the Insurance Division, focusing on the core business of insurance disputes. You will work with the wider Business Development team at an operational level supporting practice group plans and marketing/BD initiatives. This involves improving and developing our tools for client relationship management and practice business development.

This is a global law firm with expertise in dispute resolution and advisory services. With over 1,900 people worldwide across 37 offices in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific and America they have some of the most respected legal minds in their field.


  • Work with Insurance Division practice groups at an operational level to support and influence them on their BD activities and client development opportunities.
  • Work with key international stakeholders to ensure the profile of our international capabilities and expertise is communicated to the London Market.
  • Work with the Client Development Advisor with agreed practice areas and client groups to become the trusted BD contact in respect of business development.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team and the Corporate and Public Affairs team on specific tasks.
  • Support the Pursuits team on London Market focused pitch opportunities with insight into clients and key practice areas.

Key Attributes of the ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience of working in business development within a professional services environment.
  • Strong project management and planning skills.
  • Good relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective business writing and communication styles, adaptable to various situations.
  • Service delivery focused.
  • Excellent IT skills in Word and PowerPoint and advanced skills with Excel.
