Salary – £30,000 – £40,000

Location – London

This is an exciting chance to work for an international consultancy and construction business, as a bid co-ordinator with clear scope for progression from day one. Today they employ over 5,000 people across five global hubs in Europe, the Middle East North Africa and India, North America, Asia Pacific and Sub-Saharan Africa.

They support their people who are aiming to achieve an academic or professional qualification that will help them develop personally and deliver to the highest standard for their clients. It is a great opportunity to deepen your knowledge, expand your skills and define your own path.

This is an opportunity to join a high-flying bids team and at this level they would look for you to start to take on responsibility for the full bid process, working alongside senior stakeholders across the firm.

Be a part of their consultancy business, where they oversee major events and infrastructure programmes of work for world leading organisations across the public and private sectors.

Key responsibilities:

Manage the process

  • Project / bid management – analyse tender documents to define client requirements, deliverables, set deadlines and owners
  • Project planning – owning the bid programme, highlighting interdependencies and monitoring / reporting on progress
  • External meetings – support the bid team through mid-bid / site / progress meetings

Write / Create the bid

  • Proof / copy edit responses to ensure compliant, compelling, benefits-driven copy. Create impactful, well-designed bid documentation for submission
  • Support bid submissions with relevant photography and supporting graphical / infographic tools

Submit the bid

  • Ensure all required reviews and adjudication / sign-offs are achieved in line with Mace Way
  • Take the lead in the bid programme, ensuring content is fully compliant, quality checked to deliver a bid to deadline

Ideal candidate:

  • Proven experience working in a similar role.
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency in using MS Office and Adobe Software.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Highly skilled in editing copy to correct grammar, spelling and punctuation with the ability to shape compelling responses.
  • Ability to manage delivery through colleagues including technical employees at all levels, bid colleagues, marketing and communications and external suppliers.
  • Good understanding of professional service and/or the building and property industry.
  • Indesign experience preferred but not essential.
  • Able to have regular correspondence with senior directors.
