Role Summary:
The Pursuit Leader (Senior Director) plays a critical role in spearheading and managing strategic business opportunities across the company’s largest service lines. This role is at the forefront of driving high-value pursuits that contribute significantly to the firm’s global growth agenda. You will lead cross-functional pursuit teams, craft winning strategies, and ensure alignment between client needs and our most innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Lead complex, high-profile pursuits across the company’s largest and most strategic service lines, ensuring alignment with global business objectives.
- Shape pursuit strategies that clearly articulate the company’s value proposition, leveraging deep knowledge of client challenges and industry trends.
Collaboration & Team Management:
- Partner with senior leadership, subject matter experts, and global teams to deliver compelling and customized proposals.
- Lead and inspire cross-functional teams (e.g., business development, marketing, delivery, and service line leaders) to achieve pursuit objectives.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior pursuit professionals within the organization.
Client Engagement:
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for key clients during pursuit efforts, establishing credibility and fostering strong relationships.
- Collaborate with client teams to refine and tailor proposals, ensuring alignment with specific client goals and challenges.
Execution Excellence:
- Oversee the development of winning proposals, presentations, and pricing strategies, ensuring consistency, quality, and timeliness.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with pursuit efforts, ensuring high standards of compliance and governance.
- Continuously improve pursuit methodologies, tools, and processes to drive efficiency and success rates.
Market & Industry Insights:
- Stay abreast of market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging client needs to refine pursuit strategies and anticipate opportunities.
- Provide thought leadership to internal teams by identifying new opportunities to differentiate the firm’s offerings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in business development, pursuit management, or consulting within a professional services or global enterprise environment.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex pursuits with multi-million-pound outcomes.
- A deep understanding of client needs across various industries.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to guide and align diverse teams toward shared goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate client needs into innovative and tailored solutions.
