Job Title: Interim Head of Performance Marketing

Location: London (Hybrid) 2 days per week in office

Salary: £105,000 + Car Allowance

 

 

I am currently working with one of the most recognised British companies in the automotive industry, they are going through a fascinating digital transformation journey and have big growth plans. They are looking for a performance marketing leader to join the team on a 12-month interim basis to cover maternity leave.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

In this role, you will lead the implementation of our Paid Digital Strategy across multiple business units, working closely with stakeholders to drive growth and revenue through performance media channels. Responsibilities include:

 

  • Strategy Development and Execution: Work with senior leadership to implement a groupwide performance marketing strategy aimed at increasing traffic and delivering incremental revenue.
  • Team and Agency Management: Oversee and inspire an in-house team and external agencies to effectively execute the digital marketing strategy.
  • Innovation and Trend Forecasting: Identify trends in digital marketing to foster long-term growth and innovation within performance marketing channels.
  • Budget Allocation and Optimization: Manage and optimize digital marketing budgets across PPC, affiliates, social, and display channels to maximize ROI.
  • Strategic Initiatives and Technology Leveraging: Collaborate with Brand, CRM, and Data teams to leverage tools and analytics, enhancing campaign efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and maintain a reporting framework to evaluate performance and share insights with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Leadership and Development: Foster a culture of growth and collaboration within the team, supporting team members’ professional development.

 

Ideal Candidate:

 

  • Team Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team in a competitive, high-performance environment.
  • Expertise in Paid Acquisition Channels: Deep experience managing and optimizing paid channels such as PPC, display, affiliates, and social media.
  • Budget Management Skills: Strong experience in optimizing large-scale marketing budgets (over £5m) for maximum impact.
  • Innovative and Analytical Mindset: A keen eye for identifying growth opportunities, testing new ideas, and leveraging digital data and insights.
  • Effective Communication and Project Management: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives while presenting complex data clearly to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of MarTech and AdTech Solutions: Familiarity with marketing technologies, digital analytics, and programmatic platforms is essential.
