I am partnering with a well-known, global consumer goods organisation that are looking for a creative, self-motivated, accomplished Innovation Manager to support the Head of Innovation to develop a pipeline of winning new products to drive annual business performance. Working across a portfolio of personal care and beauty brands, you will be accountable for generating and identifying powerful consumer insights and new product concepts. You will be responsible for the successful commercialisation of the NPD by working closely with key partners in Marketing, R&D, Procurement, Project Management and Manufacturing.

 

The Innovation Manager will:

 

  • Global + Local innovation, long-term planning, delivery of innovation for the personal care, health care and beauty brands portfolio
  • Identify, assess and champion new product growth opportunities, including: supporting the Head of Innovation on the development a compelling innovation strategy and pipeline, conducting category/competitive analysis to validate size of opportunities; consumer validation of innovation ideas; Finance validation of Gross Margin
  • Leverage new tools to gain deep understanding of target consumer
  • Initiate consumer research to define unmet consumer needs and to identify white space opportunities
  • Align opportunities with Brand strategy and Sales goals
  • Lead new product initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Partner with Local and International Marketing team to drive global synergies, as appropriate

 

 

Required skills and experience for the Innovation Manager:

 

  • Accomplished innovation manager (preferable) or marketeer with extensive consumer goods (personal care) experience
  • Proven track record in delivering strategic NPD that demonstrate measurable success 
  • Research expert - Strong experience in briefing, preparing and managing research (qual & quant) conducted by partner agencies
  • Extensive experience in packaging development 
  • Energetic & positive attitude
  • Creative
  • Ability to forge strong working relationships cross-functionally, internal and external
  • Strong Commercial and Financial awareness
