Head of Performance Marketing & CRM 🚀

I am currently working with a banking service committed to providing accessible and affordable financial solutions to the underserved, the brand has also recently acquired another fintech brand and now serves 3 million customers in Europe.

 

The role will report to the VP of Marketing and lead acquisition across Pan-EMEA & UK. This hands-on, full-stack growth role encompasses all aspects of the marketing funnel, including performance marketing, CRM, partnerships, affiliates, and referral programs (Performance marketing experience is essential, CRM is desirable but not needed). This is a unique opportunity to join a brand in a key period of growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Strategic Leadership

 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive growth marketing strategies to scale user acquisition and enhance retention across pan-EMEA markets, focusing on the UK, Germany, Lithuania, Spain, and Romania.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, data analytics, and customer success, to align growth initiatives with the overall company strategy for subscription growth.

 

2. Performance Marketing and Growth Tactics

 

  • Lead and optimize multi-channel acquisition campaigns (e.g., SEM, paid social, display advertising) to drive efficient subscription growth in key markets.
  • Implement a test-and-learn approach to identify, test, and scale effective marketing tactics, fostering a culture of continuous experimentation.
  • Manage and allocate the acquisition budget effectively, ensuring a strong return on investment and adherence to growth targets for the pan-EMEA region
  • Oversee and expand growth strategies through partnerships, affiliate networks, and referral programs, leveraging these channels to drive incremental subscription growth across Europe and the UK.

 

3. Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

 

  • Develop and oversee CRM strategies to enhance customer engagement, retention, and subscription lifetime value across diverse customer segments in the pan-EMEA region.
  • Implement personalized communication plans, leveraging data insights to deliver targeted messaging throughout the subscription lifecycle.
  • Utilize marketing automation tools to streamline and optimize customer interactions, ensuring timely and relevant communications for subscribers.

 

4. Data Analysis and Optimization

 

  • Collaborate closely with the data and analytics teams to interpret complex data sets with a high degree of numeracy, making data-driven decisions across acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Conduct regular A/B testing to evaluate and enhance marketing strategies, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Prepare and present detailed performance reports to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for future subscription growth opportunities across key European markets.

 

5. Team Leadership and Development

 

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing growth marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Set clear performance goals and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities to team members.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of growth marketing strategies and technologies.

 

Previous Experience:

 

  • Proven experience in a growth marketing role within the fintech or technology sector start-up, ideally with a strong track record of driving user acquisition and retention.
  • Highly numerate, with strong analytical skills and experience interpreting complex data sets to inform data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in performance marketing channels, CRM strategies, partnerships, affiliates, and referral programs.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
