3Search are delighted to be working with a high-growth, challenger brand in the nutrition/wellness FMCG space. Established but still a relatively young business, the brand is widely available through leading supermarket chains and specialist retailers. It's an exciting time to join the brand as they continue to develop and innovate the brand and it's products. Part of this expansion is the commitment to hiring an ambitious and energetic Head of Brand to work closely with the MD and Commercial Director. 

 

Leading a small, lean team (with potential to build and grow it in the future) as well as managing external agencies and stakeholders, the Head of Brand will be responsible for developing and setting the future strategy of the brand. Sitting on the senior leadership team alongside Head of Sales, Head of Finance etc. you will work to deliver short-term objectives for the brand as well as define longer term brand strategy and vision. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Defining and executing business strategy with the Managing Director

• Leadership of Marketing Department – 2 direct reports- a Marketing Manager and Social Media Executive 

• Driving brand strategy and consumer understanding- acting as the voice of the consumer

• Creating and delivering the 1-3 Year Strategy of the brand

• Developing brand communication plans- including digital communication and management of a digital agency

• Working with Marketing Manager to agree and implement the social media strategy - including paid and organic social media as well as community management through the Marketing Executive

• Managing the Consumer Marketing Budget

• Recommending and managing Brand Partnerships

• Defining the Innovation Pipeline for the  brand

• Managing the innovation process from ideation, through development to delivering on shelf

• Responsible for both Existing Product Development within current portfolio, as well as New Product Development extending portfolio

 

Key skills/requirements:

 • A self-starter with drive and the energy to “make things happen”

• Creative problem solver - looking for innovative ways to market the brand and achieve maximum impact with Consumer Marketing Budget

• A team player who wants to energise others behind a compelling vision

• A Corporate Entrepreneur - likes to talk growth and sees opportunities

• Confident at influencing all levels both internally and externally

• Challenger mindset - desire to succeed, passionate and motivated

• Preferably someone who has an interest in Health & Fitness and/or Nutrition

 

Experience Required:

• 7+ Years Marketing experience (likely to be in Branded Food/Drinks or other FMCG)

• Some cross-functional experience would be beneficial e.g. trade marketing/category management/sales

• Ideally the successful candidate will have experience on challenger brands – probably within an SME or smaller BU

• Demonstrable success in driving or helping to deliver change within an organisation

• Experience of delivering successful innovations – preferably extending a brand into new categories/usage occasions

• Experience in Digital Marketing desirable

• Line Management experience - track record of developing others

 

 

This role is based near London Bridge and will be hybrid working- 3 days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and 2 from home. On top of the base salary is a car allowance + 20% bonus + other benefits.
