We are currently looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join our dynamic team.
  
Role Overview:
The Bid Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and management of tender submissions, ensuring they are produced to the highest standard, on time, and in line with the company's strategic goals. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering successful bids.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end process for preparing and submitting tender responses, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
  • Coordinate input from internal teams, including technical, commercial, legal, and design departments, to ensure the submission is comprehensive, accurate, and tailored to the specific needs of the client.
  • Develop and maintain submission timelines, ensuring all milestones are met and the submission process runs smoothly.
  • Review and edit content for clarity, consistency, and accuracy, ensuring all bid documents are of the highest quality.
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with company objectives and strategy.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in the submission process, recommending and implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Monitor the progress of live submissions and report on any issues or delays to senior management.
  • Ensure all documentation, proposals, and associated materials are stored and managed according to company procedures.
  • Support post-submission activities, including debriefing, bid reviews, and continuous improvement.
  
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Bid Manager or in a similar role within the construction or contracting industry.
  • Strong understanding of the tendering process, with experience managing high-value, complex submissions.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A solid understanding of the construction industry and Tier One contractor processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), with experience using bid management software a plus.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field is desirable, but not essential.
