Role Overview and Features: The Bid Manager will play a crucial role in the bids team, focusing on public sector bids from central government departments to local authorities and blue light organisations. This role involves managing prestigious public sector legal panels, including the Crown Commercial Services and the National Legal Services Framework for blue light services.

The Bid Manager will:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the firm's public sector offering, including clients, service lines, and specific initiatives.
  • Scope bid requirements, manage the bid “go/no-go” process, identify key stakeholders, and map out strategies to achieve maximum marks against evaluation criteria.
  • Prepare bid plans, delivery programs, and implement a structured end-to-end process.
  • Collaborate with lead partners and subject matter experts to develop winning strategies and clearly identify the firm's value proposition.
  • Write compelling bid copy that articulates win themes in line with the firm's tone of voice guidelines.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to work to multiple deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent spelling and grammar.
  • Effective time management and task prioritisation.
  • Solid technical/IT understanding.
