About the Bid Manager Role: As a Bid Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by leading the tendering and bidding process for projects within the mechanical and electrical engineering sector. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end bid management process, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality proposals that align with the company's objectives and values, including their commitment of helping their clients achieving NET zero emissions.

Key Responsibilities of Bid Manager:

  • Lead the preparation and submission of bids, tenders, and proposals in response to client requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and subject matter experts, to gather relevant information and develop compelling bid responses.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of bid documentation to identify risks, opportunities, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage the bid timeline, ensuring all deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality.
  • Develop and maintain bid management processes, templates, and best practices to streamline the bidding process and improve efficiency.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform bid strategy and positioning.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bid management, preferably within the mechanical and electrical engineering services industry.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse bid requirements, identify key win themes, and develop competitive bid strategies.
  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives, including NET zero emissions targets, and a commitment to integrating these principles into bid submissions.
