We’re working with a leading Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Engineering company specialising in delivering innovative solutions for a wide range of public and private sectors, including construction, industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. With a reputation for excellence and a commitment to quality, we are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Bid Coordinator to join a growing team with a supportive hiring manager!


The Role

As a Bid Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in securing new business opportunities by coordinating and managing the end-to-end bid process. You’ll work closely with the Bid Manager, technical teams, and senior management to ensure the delivery of high-quality, competitive bids that align with the business objectives.


Key Responsibilities of the Bid Coordinator:

  • Coordinate the preparation, production, and submission of bids, tenders, and proposals in response to client requirements.
  • Work with internal stakeholders, including engineers and project managers, to gather technical and commercial information for bids.
  • Develop and manage bid plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure timely submission.
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications and requirements, and address any gaps in documentation.
  • Support the writing, editing, and formatting of bid content to produce professional, compelling documents.
  • Maintain and update the bid library with standard content, case studies, and templates.
  • Conduct post-bid reviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist with prequalification questionnaires (PQQs) and expression of interest (EOI) documents.


About You

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a bid coordination or proposal writing role, ideally within the M&E, construction, or engineering sectors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical information clearly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with bid portals and submission platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.


Desirable Skills:

  • Ideally knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering terminology and concepts.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • APMP qualification or similar would be an advantage.
