Hi, my name is Laura McManus and I'm an Associate at 3Search, leading our Ecommerce recruitment team. Having worked in this space since 2018, I specialise in ecommerce roles, from Executive Level all the way through to Director level.
I partner with D2C & Subscription brands across a wide range of industries, including Retail, Luxury, Cosmetics, Fashion and Consumer Goods, working with small & new startups, high growth scaleups and established, heritage brands!
With over a decade of recruitment experience, my favourite part of the job is building long-lasting relationships and becoming a true partner to both candidates and clients. Ecommerce is a space I am so passionate about – the industry has completely exploded over the past few years and is continuing to evolve at a rapid pace. For me it’s one of the fastest-moving, most innovative areas in business. With things like AI-driven personalisation, augmented reality try-ons, mobile commerce and sustainability/conscious commerce, it’s an exciting industry to be part of!
If you are a hiring manager looking to secure top talent for your business, my best piece of advice is to ensure you can run a smooth and slick interview process. Be mindful of your timeframes (and other key decision makers timeframes) and be prompt with communication and feedback. This market moves at speed and candidates get snapped up quickly so if you like someone, don’t wait around!
On the flip side of this, if you are a candidate searching for your next challenge, it is so important to ensure your CV stands out against your competition. Add your key achievements for recent roles and include specific figures and performance metrics. This can really give you an edge when the hiring manager can see how you’ve contributed to the growth of a business and the impact you can make!

George is one of the best headhunters in the web3 space and I can't recommend working with him enough. George goes above and beyond to find good placement for job seekers while simultaneously being mindful of the nitty gritty details like salary requirements, time frames, and more that come up on a job search. George doesn't work just 9-5 but is always available to communicate, get meetings scheduled, provide interview debriefs, and foster any connections made day or night. If I was searching for a career change, George is the first person I would connect with, and if I was looking to fill a role, he would be the first person I would ask to fill that position.
Giulia is an amazing recruiter with a true professional and personalized approach.
